Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the usual stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
